Uncertainty looms as the economic fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic hits the Canadian economy. With more than two in five households out of work, nearly every Canadian has taken a financial hit. In response, the federal government announced the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) to help those affected over the next few months.
On April 6, the federal government launched a single online portal to assist with the CERB application process.
